How do I change the pull cord on a Yard Machines Whipper Snipper model Y780?

The clutch housing doesn't want to come of.It all spins freely and can't see anything jammed up.I can turn engine without spinning clutch housing and vice versa.I thought it should just come off with the drive housing and cutter head assembly, but I had to pull the drive shaft out with the engine.Something is holding it somehow?
